  • Sonia Implementation with NLU's Internship Program

As the Internship Programs Coordinator with National Louis’ Career Bridge department, I have been tasked with transitioning the program into a new learning management system, Sonia. Tasks within the project include developing forms used for assignment modules, designing the Sonia Online platform for students, and coordinating with other faculty and staff to train them on the new platform.

    ACCOMPLISHMENTS:

    • Transitioned to a platform that does the work of two systems previously in use

    • Provided students with an online, all-in-one hub for their internship program

  • On-Air Training Class at Radio K (KUOM)

For two years, I was the Training Director at the college radio station Radio K, where I developed courses on how to become a on-air personality at the station, how to play records on the air, and how to use any new equipment that would come into the studio.

    ACCOMPLISHMENTS:

    • Increased class sizes by threefold during my time as Training Director

    • Introduced “mentorships” between old and new DJs as a training opportunity

  • Moodle Course Design for Academic Technologies

As a student worker at the University of Minnesota, I got a firsthand glance at instructional design. I assisted in uploading documents to the learning management systems, taking videos of lectures and editing them in Adobe Premiere Pro, and utilizing Camtasia to help professors make tutorials.

    ACCOMPLISHMENTS:

    • Assisted professors with building their courses for suitability

    • Created videos of lectures and posted them for students to watch
